How Thoughts Become Reality

After watching the movie The Secret, some in society concluded that if a person thought hard enough he or she could magically manifest whatever he or she wanted into reality. This may not have been the intention of The Secret movie makers, but considering human nature to perceive what we see based on what we know, there is room for multiple interpretations of the movie. If a person has little to no knowledge about the connections and relationships between the mind, spirit (energy), body, and the universe, it would be difficult to grasp the concept of The Secret in its entirety. Thoughts do manifest into reality, but awareness, discipline, action, courage, motivation, love, joy, spirituality, and health are some of the required elements of thought. The elements of thought are essential in creating a healthy and balance state of mind to enable positive thoughts to manifest or become reality.
Our thoughts can drive us towards or stop us from accomplishing goals in life. If we think we can accomplish a goal then we can; if we think we cannot then we cannot. The elements of thought are underlined in the movie The Secret but the emphasis is on the end result which is to feel good and have positive thoughts to accomplish goals. This could be true for the person who had an epiphany or “ah ha” moment after watching the movie or a person who already has a deep awareness of the elements of thought and are apply them to his or her life. For a person who has little to no knowledge about the elements of thought, it would require an individual willingness to change his or thinking or thought patterns which could involve a life transformation, a form of enlightenment, or a mental process.

With a healthy and balance state of mind our thoughts can be limitless, having a balance life entails having positive relationships in all area of one’s life. This is easier said than done because of the complexity interjected by human natural conditions, in turn life is not that simple. Based on the human conditions (greed, poverty, hate, wars, crime, promiscuity, and disease), having a balance life can include self discipline and the process of reconditioning or reprogramming one’s thinking.

I believe awareness is the key to knowledge and understanding, including knowing and understand how thoughts can be become reality. Becoming aware of the internal and external world, which includes consciousness and the environment, can create a sense of identity or self awareness. Self awareness extends to others as we become aware of how we interact and impact others. The more aware we become the broader our life perspective on life expands. The more our perception expands the more effective our thoughts become.

I think the movie The Secret tried to convey if you love yourself and others; live fully one day at a time and not worry about the past or future; and believe your internal and external worlds are connected and are powerful forces in life experiences, you can then begin to change your reality for the best. Taking into consideration the human condition, to change one’s thought patterns does take discipline and can be a process. Becoming aware of the elements of thought is a lifelong process, as we go through different stages in our life and are faced with new challenges. However the end result is to live and enjoy life regardless of life challenges and difficulties by thinking good thoughts and feeling good.
