I believe we are complex and fickle being, no two people
exactly alike. Our physiological responses to our interpretation of emotions,
perceptions, and life events, require us to walk a thin line in terms of how we
behave and interact with one another. It is natural for us to relate to what is
familiar to us; it is how we create our sense of identity and belonging. Our flaws are not accepting each other
differences when we cannot relate or do not understand one another. We also
struggle to believe what we cannot see for which the mind eye is neglected in
the interpretation of emotions, perceptions, and life events.

The Purpose of Life Changes
Why is change important? Well without change there will be
no progress, without progress there will be no movement, without movement there
will be no growth, without growth there will be no development, without
development there will be no events, without event there will be no time,
without time there will be no space, without time and space there will no existence.
Despite the importance of change we cannot help but resist change. Why is that?
Well we are far removed from our natural purpose in life which includes my
reference of the l’s of life; to live, to love, and to learn. Rather we live in
a materialistic world, in a society where we are defined by career, status,
class, sex, race, and age. We spend our lives trying to live up to the
standards of society while losing focus on the purpose of life changes in our
individual lives.
How To Create or Develop Healthy Habits
Naturally we are creates of habits, we have the tendency to
act simply out of habit. Habits are present in culture and religion through
rituals and practices. Habits are also present in personality traits through
attitudes and behaviors. Our habits can act as comfort zones, for example, a
person can express discomfort in doing something one way simply because it feels comfortable doing it his or her way. Our
habits can also give a false sense of stability, for example, some people have
their early morning routine of drinking coffee or smoking while reading the
newspaper, without their morning routine they may experience a disruption in
their morning. Part of life is learning how to make and break habits rather
than letting our habits make and break us. We can do so by recognizing habits
for what they really are, forms of adaptation; it is one of the ways we adapt
in life.

How to Relieve Stress - Adapting The Habit to Faking It Until You Can Make It
The wise ones or the older generation have a saying, fake it until you can make it, this statement could not be closer to the truth when dealing with stress. Stress is design to serve as a survival instinct; in the face of danger stress acts as an indication to take action in order to eliminate the problem. This is where it gets complicated because we cannot eliminate every problem in our lives, problems also serve a purpose, they are life vital learning lessons. Learning how to coexist with stress is a challenge we all face because life is an ongoing learning lesson. Sometimes life can knock the hope right out of us through devastating event in our lives, in extreme cases people experience nervous breakdowns and others commit suicide. The physiological effects of stress can be detrimental to our well-being, but in actuality it is our inability to coexist with stress that causes the physiological effects of stress. So how do we coexist with stress? Well we can simply fake until we can make it in order to relieve stress.

The Power of Human of Energy
No one really knows exactly what energy is but it is known that
energy exists because without energy life simply would not exist. There are
many forms of energy, but the most mentioned forms discussed in academic and
scientific studies are kinetic, potential, and radiant energy. Historically,
the concept of energy derived from the idea of a living force, the energy force
that is responsible for the activity of matter. When people think about energy
they most think about the types of energy commonly utilized, such as gas, fuel,
electricity, solar, and mechanical energy. When I think of energy I think of
the human energy system particularly the energy forces that activate emotions. I
believe emotions are survival instincts, for example, stress particularly fear
initially served as a survival instinct for protection.

The Power of Perception
Perception is the process by which we interpret or perceive information including our life experiences from birth to present. How we perceive or view our internal and external worlds is based on the reflection of our perception. I learned a story about perception while taking a CPR class. Apparently an EMS technician was sued for choking a patient by the patient’s love one. Of course there were no grounds for a lawsuit; however, as a result, when taking patients’ neck pulse it is best to take it on the side closet to you because of the power of perception. I conclude that in a state of panic our perception is vulnerable and our minds can play tricks on us.

How Thoughts Become Reality
After watching the movie The
Secret, some in society concluded that if a person thought hard enough he
or she could magically manifest whatever he or she wanted into reality. This may
not have been the intention of The Secret
movie makers, but considering human nature to perceive what we see based on
what we know, there is room for multiple interpretations of the movie. If a
person has little to no knowledge about the connections and relationships between
the mind, spirit (energy), body, and the universe, it would be difficult to
grasp the concept of The Secret in
its entirety. Thoughts do manifest into reality, but awareness, discipline, action,
courage, motivation, love, joy, spirituality, and health are some of the required
elements of thought. The elements of thought are essential in creating a healthy
and balance state of mind to enable positive thoughts to manifest or become
reality.

The Power of Thought
A common quote from the bible associated with the power of
thought is “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” The power of thought has
been illustrated in miracles of healing, as a result, physicians today have a
clearer understanding of the importance of positive thinking during the
recovery stages of their patients. Physicians now recognized the success or
outcome of treatments also depends on the mindset of their patients. What we
think about ourselves and others directly and indirectly impact our lives, our
thoughts can manifest into our reality. It is important to understand the power
of thought including what thoughts are prominent in our minds and are those
thoughts positive or negative.

How to Stop Worrying
Worrying is a human condition, as a result we have the tendency
to worry about life rather than living life. We worry about the pass, the future,
ourselves, and what people think about us. Worrying is also our interpretation
of life circumstances and situations. When faced with problems we either view
our problems as defeats, in turn, we become overwhelmed with thoughts of
everything that could go wrong; or we view our problems for what they really are a
part of life when stuff happens. Worrying should be replaced with concern; we
should be concern about our problems rather than worry, concern tends to propel
us to act or take action. When face with problems where there are no actions to
take, then let the inevitable happen and it too shall pass.

The Therapy Of Talking To Others
The study of psychology has been treated with skepticism due
to the limits of scientific evidence based on practical observation. In other
words, it is impossible to look inside the brain and directly observation how
the brain works or to know what someone is thinking. To get the recognition psychology
has acquired today (Dr. Phil Talk Show), did take some time due to the division
within the study of psychology. Research psychologists were trying to develop
the one theory that was most effective in explaining human behavior, brain
function, and thought processes. After further
review psychologists began to connect the dots, in turn seeing the bigger
picture. Psychologists now understand psychology is a collective study of
multiple theories and no one theory can fully explain human behavior.

The Meaning of Racism
Racism is commonly defined as the division of humanity based
on biological, ethnic, and cultural differences in order to create a position
of superiority for one race and a position of inferiority for other races. Despite the lack of scientific evidence of
biological differences indicating human superiority and inferiority, racism is imbedded
into societies’ culture. To be blunt I believe racism like sexism, ageism, class-ism, species-ism and every other type of prejudice is a form of primitive
thinking. To hate someone simply because of their physical features is in my
opinion simple thinking. However, simple thinking has resulted in a huge shift
within society as a whole.

How to Forgive Yourself and Others
Have you ever thought about a moment in your life where you did wrong to someone or someone did wrong to you? A moment that every time you think about it you feel deeply bad about yourself or deeply angry towards someone, these are thoughts of un-forgiveness. Not being able to forgive yourself and others is harmful to only one person, and that person is you. It is difficult to forgive if you do not grasp the concept of un-forgiveness. Un-forgiveness is a one way street because it only affects the person directing un-forgiveness towards his or her self or others. I believe fully understanding that the effects of un-forgiveness are self inflicting or self sabotaging is the key to forgiving yourself and others.

Logical Thinking - Is It Good or Bad?
Jean Piaget, one of the many founders of psychology
identified the threshold of logical thinking in the third stages of cognitive
development. At the concrete operational stage, Piaget observed that logical thinking
become evident in a child’s ability to use appropriate logic. Logic is characterized
by ideas, concepts, facts, judgment, reasoning, and conclusion, and is one of
the fundamentals of human intelligence. I like to describe logic as a step by
step analysis of problems from an objective point of view. Highly logical thinkers are significantly smart
and possess impressive decision making skills and problem solving skills such
as learning mathematics. It is well known people that practice logical thinking
can also become smarter. At the same
time, logical thinking has its limits based on the structural requirements,
exclusion of emotional intelligence, and generalization.
Society’s Obsession with Sex
“Sex sells” is an expression in the business marketing world,
and rightfully so; the pornography industry is one of the top most lucrative
businesses in the world. Sex is a natural desire and behavior; it is how we are
all born into creation and how we will continue to populate the world. However,
along with society’s obsession with beauty, weight, and health, the obsession
with sex has made yet another headline in the news. This time the sports world
has entered the sex story arena with a “first male athlete” sexual orientation
story which will be the buzz for however long it takes for the next breaking
story to surface. As human beings what is it about sex that draws so much of
our attention. Is it because sex is suppose to be private, so naturally we
would be curious about others, and when we do find out the media would not stop discussing
it?
Love Relationships
At one point I thought I could write poetry so I did, I
wrote a poetry entitled Love. I was
quiet proud of myself, I even nicknamed myself Lyrical One. In reality it was not a very good poem, but at that
time I thought it was. Now looking back, I actually think it was funny. The
poem was about human love relationships and divine love relationships. In human
relationships I defended love by pointing out the errors of human nature. In
divine love relationships I pointed out the unconditional love from within.
Developing Healthy Love Relationships Through Self Love
Healthy relationships stems from healthy minded individuals.
Most may or may not agree that failed relationships are caused by both
individuals involved. In failed relationships people often blame one another for
the problems they experienced together. When people talk about their failed
relationships it is less often you hear someone say ‘I was the problem,” but
more often “he or she was the problem.” I am going to be bold and say failed
relationships are a result of lack of self love. People sometimes stay in
relationships waiting for the other person to love them and hoping that person
would change. The reality is the person you should expect to love you the way
you want to be love, is you. When you love yourself you will not let others
mistreat you because you understand your self worth.
The Powerful Effect of Music
Music can change your emotions, create life memorable moments
and make you remember those moments. Music is one of the many artistic
expressions of life. In movies the sound effects used to evoke emotions of
love, romance, fear, suspense and even hate is music.
There are stories where people experience changes in habit,
likes and dislikes after having heart transplant surgery, music was one of the
likes and dislike. There is a story about a man after having a heart transplant
he noticed his love for a different genre of music. He later found out later that
the same music he now likes were his heart donor’s favorite music. That tells
me that music is in our minds, spirits (including soul
and heart), and physiological make up (MSP).
Cpoing With Life and Death
Despite his mental challenges philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche believed it is illogical to fear death
and not birth (life). He recognized the fear or uncertainty of not knowing what
type of life a person can be born into is equally frightening as death itself.
People generally do not think or talk about death because
death is associated with negative emotions. Death can appear to be a villain
that steals and destroy lives in the blink of an eye. Unexpected death strikes
harder because in most cases it is a result of a tragic event. Tragic death can
leave survivors of lost love ones mentally cripple from anger and/or grief.
Life and Adversity
Life adversities can be viewed as bumps or mountains along the
road of life journey. I believe with a positive perspective adversities are
meant to make us stronger, the bigger the adversity the stronger we can become.
As far fetch as this may seem when facing advertise such as not having money,
losing a car and home, losing a love one, or being diagnose with a terminal
disease, it is not impossible to overcome adversities.
Conquering Your Fear
How to conquer your fears? That is a question I am living out the answer
to. I am learning how to take back control of my perception of God’s presence
or divine energy within me. The same energy that is in you and every other moving,
living and growing being, which collectively make up this vast universe we live
in. It is important to understand, become aware, and acknowledge the energy or
metaphysical forces within and around us, in order to conquer our fears.
